MYER DEPARTMENT OF STORIES AW17
In Myers flagship stores, magnificent atrium pieces were created to reinforce the Autumn/Winter colour pallet and tie the brand story into the visual merchandising. Powerful above-the-line advertising is needed to translate into below-the-line activities.
Key to the ‘New Myer’ vision is achieving sustainability goals by 2020 showing their commitment to leaving a smaller footprint on the environment.
The Myer seasonal redress using fabric goes well beyond being able to recycle the scrap from activations. Fabric VM as a product, considers the environmental benefits and impacts along with its cost, function, performance, durability, transport and installation.
The use of translucent digitally printed fabric recyclable skins combined with permanent and re-dressable fixtures is a highly unique and sustainable way to seasonally dress a department store.
The aluminium system is designed and manufactured in Australia. The fabric signage system combines lightweight, flat-packed hardware, with the functionality and versatily creating premium branding solutions.
The printed fabric skins can be returned to the printer for 100% recycling. They are collected, melted and reshaped into other forms such as plastic bottles or recycled fabrics.
